The Wormtown Herald is a dynamic independent student-run news and literary publication. We are dedicated to delivering timely and accurate coverage of campus and local news, issues, and culture. Through our print and digital platforms, we showcase traditional and narrative journalism, arts commentary, poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. We aspire to amplify the voices, perspectives, and concerns of Worcester State University students. Committed to ethical hyperlocal journalism, we are a public forum and a source for pressing news, insightful commentary, and meaningful storytelling on topics that matter for WSU students. We believe in the power of the student voice as a catalyst for positive change on campus and in the wider community. 

We’re always looking for new members, including staff writers, copyeditors, photographers, artists, graphic designers, social media specialists. Worcester State University students interested in joining The Wormtown Herald staff can apply through our online application form.

Members of the campus community may send opinions to [email protected]. Opinions run no longer than 800 words and will not run anonymously.

The Wormtown Herald cannot publish all submissions it receives and reserves the right to edit submissions of any kind.
